With 2011 now under way we take a look back at some of the best and most memorable moments from 2010, split into three parts. Here is Part 3 and the list of shots goes as follows:

- 6201 'Princess Elizabeth' on 'The North Wales Coast Express' sounding magnificent as she emerges from the tunnel passing Conwy Castle (22/08/10)
- 'Holy War' on the Bala Lake Railway climbing the bank up to Llanuwchllyn station, giving a long whistle for the crossing (16/08/10)
- 44871 on 'The Cambrian Coast Express' seen in terrible weather but giving a fine performance as she storms out of Machynlleth (17/08/10)
- A beautiful mountain sunset seen from the camp site at Llanuwchllyn (26/08/10)
- 'Sir Haydn' disguised as 'Sir Handel' departing Rhydyronen for Tywyn on the Talyllyn Railway (23/08/10)
- 'Lydia' climbing up the line to the high level station on the Perrygrove Miniature Railway. They thought we wanted to get on but after a few signals and head nods they new what was going on and opened up the taps again, nice (25/09/10)
- Tyseley Locomotive Works Open Day - featured the rare outside appearance of 4003 'Lode Star' (24/10/10)
- 60007 'Sir Nigel Gresely' on 'The Cathedrals Express' departing Swindon in the low light on the return (01/12/10)
- 60163 'Tornado' on 'The Bath Christmas Market' storming through Keysham with a whistle and clouds of steam billowing from her chimney (04/12/10)

We visited the Hollycombe Steam Collection during their steam rally which is said to be the biggest event of the year at Hollycombe. The event featured a wide variety of steam traction from railway locomotives and road locomotives to static engines used to power the fairground rides.

In this video we see Polish Tourska LAS Type 0-6-0T no.3257 running around to couple up to Hunslet 0-4-0ST 'Jack Lane', they then proceed to depart, I assume she was taking the Hunslet to a trailer to be taken away although I'm not too sure.

DRS Class 37s no.37069 & 37059 were at Swindon again today, a week after their last appearance. They were hauling a Network Rail Test Train (1Q12) running from Bristol - Gloucester via Swindon and back then Bristol to London Paddington and Old Oak Common, the same train they hauled last time, due to appear at Swindon three times during the day. We start the video at Bruce Street Bridges not far from Swindon station on the Swindon - Gloucester line where we first see an HST (43159 & 43010) set arriving into Swindon from Gloucester. We then see the two 37s after leaving Swindon and thrashing and clagging away on their way to Gloucester on their 1st appearance of the day. Moving on we head to Swindon station were we see the two 37s arriving off the Gloucester line on their second appearance of the day. I didn't have time to set up as they were coming round the corner as I was getting out of the car, so this shot is hand held, I decided to use my tri-pod for the next few shots instead of the mono-pod for a change as I've never used it at this spot before. We then see a HST set (43195 & 43020) departing Swindon for the west before seeing the two 37s depart, with a bit of thrash just to get going and then rolling on past and over the points which could be heard moving back after the 37s left. We then move down to Swindon's East Yard where I was hoping to see the 37s on their way to London, I got myself all set up but then found out that they had already passed through 29 minutes early, so I was a bit disappointed about that, I did however manage to get a short shot of Class 59 no.59004 'Paul A. Hammond' which had broken down whilst working a stone train, I was told that she was only doing 2mph on full power so she must have been pretty knackered.

Yet another video from my archive. On a wet and windy day we take a trip to the West Somerset Railway when they were holding their autumn steam gala. Shots include on stations and onboard shots. Filmed on a Creative Vado Pocket Camcorder. Enjoy

DRS Class 37s nos.37059 & 37069 hauled a Network Rail Test Train (1Q12) top & tailed running from Bristol to Gloucester via Swindon and the Golden Valley Line and back then from Bristol to London Paddington & Old Oak Common. In this video we start with the two 37s arriving into Swindon from the Gloucester line on their second appearance at Swindon of the day, 37059 leading. A HST set is then seen arriving from the west (43026 & 43033) while afterwards a Class 158 unit then arrives off the Gloucester line and heads into the bay platform. Afterwards another HST set is seen departing for Bristol (43169 & 43002), 37069 now leading, the pair are seen departing Swindon for Bristol, sadly without any thrash.

After visiting the Alan Keef Ltd open day we then visited the 15in gauge Perrygrove Miniature Railway for their 'Vintage Trains Afternoon' which actually coincided with the open day so most of the people there would have been at the open day as well.

- 2-6-2T 'Lydia' built in 2008 by Alan Keef Ltd
- 4wDH 'Jubilee' built in 1998 by Hunslet (on shunting duties)

Part 2 now and after everything had been sorted out at the other end we could finally make our way back down the line. After arriving back at the low level station a bit of deja vu occurs as we see 'Lydia' backing off her train into the siding and 'Spirit Of Adventure' on the front.

BR Class 52 'Western' D1015 'Western Champion hauled the London Paddington - Penzance - London Paddington tour 1Z52 'The Royal Duchy' with BR Class 47 47760 on the rear up to Exeter St Davids where the tour would then be steam hauled by BR Britannia 70013 'Oliver Cromwell' and exLMS Black 5 44871 to Penzance. D1015 would then haul the tour from Penzance back to London Paddington. Here she is seen departing Swindon right time on the outward run of the tour. Filmed on a Sony-DCR-SR57E Camcorder. Enjoy
